Description
A major Silver Age Spider-Man key, The Amazing Spider-Man #31 (December 1965) features the first appearances of Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborn, two characters who would become central figures in Spider-Man’s mythology.
Written by Stan Lee with classic artwork by Steve Ditko, this issue begins the legendary storyline “If This Be My Destiny…!”, one of the most celebrated Spider-Man story arcs of the Silver Age.
The issue also introduces Professor Miles Warren, who would later become the villain known as The Jackal, further increasing the importance of this comic in Marvel continuity.
Because of the debut of these iconic characters and its connection to one of Spider-Man’s most famous storylines, Amazing Spider-Man #31 remains one of the most important mid-1960s Spider-Man keys.
