Astonishing Tales #25 (August 1974) is a key Bronze Age Marvel comic featuring the first appearance of Deathlok (Luther Manning), one of Marvel’s earliest cybernetic anti-heroes.

Created by Rich Buckler and Doug Moench, Deathlok became an influential character in Marvel’s science fiction storytelling and has appeared in multiple comic series, animated shows, and television adaptations.

The issue also features the first appearance of Major Ryker, another important character in the Deathlok storyline.
