Published in July 1968, Iron Man #3 is one of the earliest issues from Iron Man's first ongoing solo series. Written by Archie Goodwin with cover and interior artwork by Johnny Craig, this issue features the first appearance of the Freak, created when Happy Hogan is transformed into one of Iron Man's most tragic early adversaries. The CGC label also notes letters pages by Walt Simonson and Bob Gale, adding an interesting historical footnote featuring two future creative legends.

The first year of Iron Man remains one of Marvel's most collected Silver Age runs, with early issues becoming increasingly difficult to locate in exceptional condition.
