Marvel Preview #7 (1976) is a major Bronze Age key issue featuring the first appearance of Rocket Raccoon, one of Marvel’s most popular modern characters thanks to his role in the Guardians of the Galaxy films and comics.

The issue also introduces Satana: The Devil’s Daughter, making it a double-key appearance in Marvel’s black-and-white magazine line. These magazine-format books were produced outside the Comics Code Authority and are known for their darker tone and larger art format.

The Rocket Raccoon story, titled “The Sword in the Star,” was written by Bill Mantlo with art by Keith Giffen and Vicente Alcazar, marking the debut of the character who would later become a central member of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Because Marvel Preview had lower print runs than standard comics, key issues such as this remain scarce, especially in certified condition.
